Waste Detect has built a strong reputation as a leader in waste management technology, helping organisations gain greater visibility over waste streams, improve sustainability outcomes and make smarter operational decisions. As the business continued to evolve, its brand needed to better reflect its position as an innovative, forward-thinking technology partner.
Our brief was to evolve the existing identity rather than reinvent it—retaining the brand equity Waste Detect had established while creating a more contemporary, distinctive and flexible visual system. Alongside a complete website redesign, we developed an evolved brand identity that better communicates the company’s expertise, optimism and commitment to a more sustainable future.
The refreshed identity introduces a brighter, Australian-inspired colour palette centred around fresh greens, reinforcing the brand’s connection to sustainability while creating stronger differentiation in the market. Building on the existing logo, we extended its visual language across a suite of flexible brand assets, including custom icons, infographic systems, graphic holding shapes and illustration styles. These elements work together to create a cohesive toolkit that brings greater consistency and versatility across digital and print communications.
A key focus of the redesign was improving engagement and accessibility. Through a more dynamic approach to layout, stronger visual hierarchy and a balance of photography, illustration and data visualisation, the brand now communicates complex information in a clearer and more approachable way. The result is a modernised identity and digital experience that strengthens Waste Detect’s market presence while providing a scalable platform for future growth.
